Polypeg Suppository Base
A blend of different molecular weights of polyethylene glycols (PEGs) with a small amount of oil for lubrication purposes. Stable at room temperature, it is water-soluble, non-irritating and melts between 50-60°C. The release of the drug is independent of the melting point. Can be also used vaginally.
